In nahnahnahserena thought, 2-minutes-memento is a series of MS paint drawings; made into Hand Sewn Applique patches. Meaning making is inherent in whoever percieves the images/patches. The transference of meaning is the core of this work. Sewing is a process and the medium. Like painting, a mark becomes a line into a form. Entirely up to viewers to make meaning. All are welcome.

• lots of big round labels on red cloth and red bindi dots on my skin
• i became the disease, an infection, a virus...
• i sneaked up to people and placed dots on them
• some knew, some were totally unaware..
• but too bad, it did not occur to anyone to document this process for me
• therefore, you will just have to imagine...

spent two weeks consecutively, day and night, singlehanded, filled the space with plastic sheets and clear tapes. concept is to create a synthetic liquid form. in daylight, it looks like mucus oozing out of the room. by night, with the strobing light installed inside, it looks like a section view of the heart. wish i could upload the video... wait wait, i'll try my tech savvy friends...:P

In history, India used to be one of the greatest empires, and later on, the United States, which are now, the strongest empire. It has been analyzed that if China continues to progress, it will become the next strongest empire. Einstein once said if the third war starts, by the fourth one, we will be fighting with stones and clubs. Many had predicted that the world is going to end soon because of the constant warring situation that many countries are undernow. My work depicts the mythological character pushing out the green creature, pointing towards the west direction- because I feel as much as we are influenced by the western culture, in current situation, when China is strengthening up, as a Chinese I feel the need to understand my roots and look forward to a more peaceful world.
